In some ways, the lit­tle town jail on May River Road has been a bless­ing for us. Since it was just 1,000 square feet, it was easy and afford­able to pay the monthly util­ity bills.

With our new build­ing at 39 Sheri­dan Park Cir­cle being seven times the size of the “jail”, our util­i­ties and related main­te­nance expenses are much greater. Since more thought and plan­ning is nec­es­sary to bud­get for those expenses, our board has estab­lished a fund to launch a Util­ity and Main­te­nance Endow­ment, with every hope that it will dra­mat­i­cally off­set our long term util­ity and main­te­nance costs.
