Interact Members serving Jack Frost Ice Cream to customers at the Okatie Rotary Polo Match
Bluffton High Interact Donated $167.50 and several containers of canned goods to Bluffton Self Help. Most of the money was made at the Okatie Rotary Polo match thanks to Jack Frost Ice Cream’s generosity, allowing Interact members to sell ice cream for a portion of the profits. The remainder of the donation came during a canned food drive at Bluffton High the week before Thanksgiving.

The volunteers, staff and board of directors extend grateful appreciation to ST. FRANCIS THRIFT SHOP for a 2011 grant award presented at a special Grant Award ceremony on Tuesday, July 12 at St. Francis Thrift Shop. It was indeed an honor to be a recipient, along with a number of other worthy organizations in our community.
The St. Francis Thrift Shop is located at 6 Southwood Park Drive, just off Hwy. 278. Donors drop off clothing, house wares, artwork, working appliances, and furniture to be sold, with proceeds going to serve the needy of the community through the outreach ministries of The St. Francis By The Sea Church on Hilton Head and through direct grants.
As the recipient of a St Francis Thrift Shop Grant, Bluffton Self Help will use these funds towards housing assistance. Last year BSH assisted over 22,000 people with food, clothing and financial assistance.
