Is your closet due for a trim?
BSH needs what you no longer want!
Have you ever gone through your closet and thinned it out a little? Don’t like the style any more? Lost some weight? Moved here and wondering why you still have winter coats taking up so much space? Don’t know where to take everything? Please load your items in bags, and drop it off at Bluffton Self Help!
Since our clients are receiving their clothing free of charge, donated clothing does not last very long on the shelves. We appreciate anything you can send our way. Shoes, coats and childrens clothing are always in great demand. It makes our work much easier if you can donate items that are clean, and in fair to good condition. We are not able to accept intimate apparel.
We have one request! You probably shop for seasonal clothes at the beginning of the season. The same holds true for our clients. The ability to choose items appropriate to the season is a big plus for folks without the ability to make other choices. Our request is that you will make every attempt to bring seasonally appropriate clothing. If you are planning to donate out of season items, we thank you in advance for those items, and simply ask that you bag and mark them separately as “out of season” items.
What about Household Items?
Now that we have more space at 39 Sheridan Park, we are excited to be able to offer clients small household items. Please consider donating any and all items that you no longer need. You can rest assured that your items will quickly be adopted by an appreciative family!
What about books?
Actually, we love getting books, particularly children’s books, because we have learned that our young clients love reading them. We have a space at the front of the store where we suggest that our children take a book each time they visit. We also appreciate receiving any other books and magazines.
Our street address for all food and clothing donations is:
Bluffton Self Help, Inc.
39 Sheridan Park Circle, Suite 10
Bluffton, SC 29910
There is a large area behind our building where we receive deliveries. If you have several items, please use this convenient area to drop off your items. Please ring the “door bell” at the back of the building, and Lili, Julie or a volunteer will receive your items there.

You are welcome to stop by during our operating hours to drop off clothing. If you are a new friend of BSH, or if you have a large donation that will require assistance unloading, give us a call first at (843) 757-8000, or email us and let us know when you will be stopping by.
