Have you ever gone through your closet and thinned it out a lit­tle? Don’t like the style any more? Lost some weight? Moved here and won­der­ing why you still have win­ter coats tak­ing up so much space? Don’t know where to take every­thing? Please, load you items in bags in drop it off at Bluffton Self Help!
Our vol­un­teers will help you bring it inside from your car, and they will then sort it accord­ing to men’s, women’s and children’s items.
Since our clients are able to take ten arti­cles of cloth­ing every two weeks, donated cloth­ing does not last very long on the shelves.
We have one request. You prob­a­bly shop for sea­sonal clothes at the begin­ning of the sea­son. The same holds true for our clients. The abil­ity to choose items appro­pri­ate to the sea­son is a big plus for folks with­out the abil­ity to make other choices. And, our build­ing is so small that space in our cloth­ing sec­tion is at a pre­mium.
Our request is that you will make every attempt to bring sea­son­ally appro­pri­ate cloth­ing. If you want to give us out of sea­son items, we thank you in advance for those items, and sim­ply ask that you bag and mark them sep­a­rately as “out of sea­son” items.
