Sponsor a Family this Holiday Season

Bluffton Self Help staff and volunteers are preparing for one of the busiest seasons of the year with two programs that insure that those less fortunate are not forgotten.

(1)  SPONSOR A FAMILY:  You can sponsor a family this holiday season by supplying the family with toys valued under $25 per children. When you agree to sponsor a family you notify Bluffton Self Help that you are willing to provide toys to a family. You will receive the information to contact the family.  You discuss the needs of the family with the family contact person and determine a public meeting place to drop off the toys.  (You can arrange to meet at Bluffton Self Help’s building from 10 am to 4 pm weekdays).  You then notify Bluffton Self Help staff that the family has received the toys. Or,

(2)  TOY DRIVES:  For families not adopted by a sponsor, those families pick up toys at Bluffton Self Help on December 15.  You can drop off toys at Bluffton Self Help now through December 15. The staff and volunteers at Bluffton Self Help will match the toys with the requests from the children who have registered for the program. This year, Bluffton Self Help is partnering with WSAV-TV and providing toys to children in Beaufort, Hampton and Jasper counties, but not to children on Hilton Head Island.  The Deep Well services the families living on the island.

Both of these programs continue to grow each year.  Last year, Bluffton Self Help provided 350 Thanksgiving dinners to families in the Bluffton community thanks to our sponsors and toys to 1688 children in Beaufort, Hampton and Jasper counties.  Thank you for your continued support.  If you are interested in sponsoring a family or donating food or toys call 843-757-8000 today or email lori@blufftonselfhelp.org.
