Host a Drive with your office, school, club, or congregation. Ask friends and family to celebrate your next birthday, anniversary, or other milestones by donating.

This year, we will distribute more than 350,000 lbs of food to our Bluffton and lowcountry neighbors experiencing hunger and food insecurity. Nearly 900 households will be able to put over 285,000 healthy and well balanced meals on the table with the help of neighbors. Thank you for keeping our pantry stocked as our needs continue to grow.

Join us in helping to raise funds for our neighbors in need! With the COVID-19 crisis’ impact on business and the economy, we need to find ways to support more kids, families, and individuals who are becoming food insecure and financially unstable. Parents who already work two or three jobs to make ends meet are being laid off or losing their jobs. Help make a lasting impact during this crisis by hosting a drive to collect funds or inkind goods. Rally your family members, friends, and colleagues to donate! Working together, we can make a difference! Please join us in supporting #neighborshelpingneighbors!

Drives: We think of our Drives as “item-collection opportunities.” These are all of the ways people collect food-related or basic need items and bring them to Bluffton Self Help. Drives are a type of event, and help to stock the shelves at Bluffton Self Help with much needed items all year long!

We are all most familiar with canned-food or non-perishable drives, and they are always needed and appreciated. But you or your group can also consider hosting any of the following:

  • Health Food Drive
  • Paper Products Drive
  • Food Fund Drive
  • Diaper Drive
  • Hygiene Items Drive
  • Snack Closet Drive
  • Holiday Drives

Fundraising Events: Typically, events are fundraising opportunities that bring awareness to our need to help our community.  Events are hosted by an individual or community that wants to raise resources for Bluffton Self Help. These activities are often on a larger scale than our Drives, and require more planning and lead-time. When we think of events, we think of committee involvement!
