The Town of Bluffton recognized Mrs. Martin in 2012. She holds a spot on the Wall of Honor in the town hall. She was the first woman of the five honored to date, and the only one to receive a place on the wall while still living. Ida will be most remembered for her big heart, her faith in her fellow man and her tenacious work ethic that moved her to serve the Bluffton community.
